A Beany Kind of Day

Delicious for a cold day or evening.  You may choose for the base ~either chicken or beef organic stock.

The fun part is creating your own ingredients ~ although a must is beans.  You can make your own decision on what beans you like to add to this soup.

After deciding what types of beans ~ wash and soak them over night. While this is taking place think of what vegetables you wish to put in with the beans.

Okay this is where you start cutting up the vegetables for the dish.  I like to add onions, celery, mushrooms, and carrots.

Now add the stock in a pan along with the beans and all the ingredients that you chopped up.  Cook until the beans are soft ~ add spices to finish the beany kind of day.

Own it with your signature.

COOL CUT EGGPLANT

One of my favorite vegetable is eggplant.  I have found that this vegetable can be made all different ways and is very easy to create.

Again it is what you prefer that makes your dish and taste special.
First I cut the eggplant ~ around a ½ inch.  Again it depends on how many for dinner or lunch.

I preheat the oven or the stove depending on how you choose to make them.  Either way I use avocado oil to saute them.  As you wait for the eggplant to get done ~ prepare the other ingredients.

Make it your own; however this is my masterpiece.  Cut the peppers, onions, mushrooms and then also saute them when the eggplants are finished.

The eggplants are done when it is soft and golden on both sides.

Once all have been cooked, arrange on a dish along with any herbs, black pepper and Himalaya salt.  Then grind cheese on the top.  Presto, there is your master piece ~ Enjoy

CORN FROM A COB SALAD

Here is a great salad for a cookout during the summer months and is very easy.
Depending on how many that are invited for dinner ~ depends on how many corn cobs to use.  It is best to allow for each person.

First you would either cook them on a grill or even saute them in a pan until it gets a little crisp.

As this is being done ~ prepare the other ingredients depending on the herbs and vegetables you would like to add.

For my master piece I added some celery, onions, assortment of peppers, basil, parsley, and rosemary (fresh or dry) black pepper, Himalaya salt.

Once I dice it up and put in a large bowl, then I take the corn on the cob and cut the corn from the cob.  Add the corn to the rest of the ingredients.  Almost ready – add avocado oil and balsamic vinegar. Mix all together and there is your masterpiece ~ full of color like the summer flower.

COOKING HEALTHIER MASTERPIECES

Professionally I am neither a chef nor an artist, but I love creating with color and shapes.  Since I have been keeping my body healthier, I have taken an interest in cooking and making them my own masterpieces.  I like taking a recipe and substituting ingredients to make it my own and healthier.  I admire people that I meet that also love to create with the taste of one’s own taste buds. So this is how and why I am starting this blog/ website to show that anyone can create a dish with flavor.

This is designed for you to inspire the recipe to your liking and taste.

Living The Dream

Living The Dream

It was five years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer ~ STAGE 2. Now I am living a dream watching my daughter walk down the aisle. Five years ago it was only a dream that I did not think that I would have been part of and it was fabulous seeing my daughter and her father walk hand in hand to another journey of her life.

I was very fortunate that I have a family that was supportive and knew that I did not want to be treated the conventional way. The type of treatment that I chose is something that I have learned to continue to manage to keep the cancer from coming back. It’s a life choice and knowledge is power. This is what saved me from dying and able to be around to see memories grow between me and Danielle my daughter.

I am so proud of what we both accomplished, her life professionally and personally. I for managing my treatment and to continue to educate others on the path to good health. With the help from you, I have started a petition to avoid the cost of life and to have your insurance companies allow for other than surgery, chemo and radiation. We as a whole have to start somewhere and with your help we can make this happen. Another project under way is starting a nonprofit organization.

This organization is going to be a big task for I am gathering up scientific physicians as well as alternative doctors to be part of this organization. My goal is to create a list of physicians that do treatment other than surgery, chemo and radiation. Treatments that do not have side effects and damage one’s body. With this list any one can come to the organization on the web site and get numbers to contact them personally along with free education regarding the treatment. The other step to this goal is to get companies that are health minded to contribute to the cause and donate money so people that are diagnosed with cancer that would like to be treated without the conventional way and that are unable to afford other types of treatments, there will be funds to help them. Last put most important is there will be counseling for family member’s as well as the patients to seek encouragement so that you will not be alone in this fight to manage the cancer.

I look back at my decisions and realize that I could have done the same as the rest of my family has done and seek the conventional medicine. Whether, or not this message or writing might have not of taken place. My husband and daughter are my two most important fans and without them I would have never been able to make this change. So this year means so much to me being able to enjoy my daughter’s wedding and participate in going with her to get her nails, hair and makeup done along with experience all the wedding plans and helping out with all the extra’s.

Please help me continue to educate others and given someone, maybe you an opportunity in a better quality of life.

It is not length of life, but depth of life.
